St. Andrew’s, Alfriston
St. Andrew’s church in Alfriston has installed 25 seated silhouettes to commemorate the 25 men from the parish who died in the First World War. Built in the 14th century, the church is located close to the winding Cuckmere River and beside the Old Clergy House (the first National Trust property).
The installation will be in place until the Remembrance period other than during services or concerts. If you are a relative or have any information on the men commemorated in the installation, the parish would love to hear from you.
